Little Blond-Haired Boy

My husband’s brother Jeff passed away in a farming accident when Jeff was 11 and my husband was just a baby. After his passing, his mom (my mother in law) wrote a beautiful poem about him. She called it “Little Blond Haired Boy.”

Jeff has been such an influential person in our lives. Even though I never met him in this life, his influence has been felt on multiple occasions, and he has been such a huge blessing in our family but also in the extended Freeman Family.

My daughter Millie and I made Mom’s poem into a song last week. Jeff’s passing anniversary is today (it’s been 42 years).

Someone requested the piano track without vocals. Here ya go! I made two tracks: One that’s heavy on the melody (so it’s easier to sing along). Here’s the mp3: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nnJsCxt8GiavEGi32dj9LRKChGzzR3Oz/view?usp=drive_link

And one that’s just the piano accompaniment of Little Blonde Haired Boy:https://drive.google.com/file/d/13lp1QHwwlzhhkfMuQ5kDXvtM5pOWmGOM/view?usp=sharing

Paisley’s Song: “His Little Girl”

One of my young women asked me to write a song about trusting in God’s plan, seeing him in our lives, and that everything happens for a reason.  This song is for you, Paisley

Jesus en Pesebre (Away in a Manger)

This is my 9 year old son Zach singing my piano arrangement of “Jesus en Pesebre” (Away in a Manger). I wrote this arrangement while our family was living in Argentina. This song was my brother Robert’s favorite song, and I remember singing it to him as a family when he was in the hospital for another asthma attack.

He is Hope (Pain: Washed Away)

I wrote a song.  And my beautiful friend Naomi Christensen graciously agreed to sing it. I could listen to her sing all day!

I wrote down some thoughts in the middle of a really hard time–just for me.  As I later went back and read them, I decided to put them to song, in case someone else could use this peace and understanding that I’m still learning about.

Sometimes life brings bitterly difficult experiences and feelings. In those moments, our hearts hurt in intensely personal ways.  What I want more than anything at those times is healing and peace and hope.

As I’ve pondered the purpose of some of my own rigorous times of personal struggle, I have come to realize two things:

1. Christ offers that hope that I seek.  He sees me right where I am and stays there with me as he gently lifts and comforts me.

2. My own valleys can bring hope and validation and love to others.  I have been the recipient of this acceptance and understanding, which gives me courage to face my own mountains with faith. I want to extend that love and healing and encouragement to others.

I hope this song lifts you in some way, and allows you to see purpose in the hard you are experiencing.

I Turn To Christ

I made a goal in 2026 to testify of Jesus Christ every day. I started thinking about when Jesus helps me, and I couldn’t write fast enough to keep up with my thoughts. I decided to make a song reflecting just how much Christ helps me.

Angels: Seen & Unseen

I Found This Jesus

Hi! I’m Camilla Freeman

As a little girl, one of my favorite things to do was to hear a song, and then sit down at the piano and try to pick it out. As I learned to play the piano by ear, I started to create my own little melodies and tunes. Not only was it therapeutic, but it allowed me to create in a way that really connected me to God. I never thought I would compose music to share with others, but I realized that if my music could help someone else feel the hope and peace and joy that I have felt, I wanted to share it. Welcome to Camilla Freeman Music. Enjoy!
